Start at the gondola then go up 3,000 vertical feet. Takes about 2+ hrs depending on your strength. A very strenuous, all up hike but not difficult technically. Free ride down in the gondola – saves your knees. Great views at the top of course.
Is the Mountain Ajax as big as Snowmass?
This mountain is definitely geared towards more advanced skiers. The mountain isn’t as big as Snowmass, but it was definitely big enough to spend a whole day here while covering most of the trails. It was really cold the day that we skied, 10 degrees at the bottom and -5 degrees at the summit. We were well layered and it was a fun day.
