How does the G4 DRL work on a Honda CRV?

G4 DRL work fine, the sensor has always triggered the lights at the right time, you see it immediately when the dash lights dim and head unit screen inverts. There’s only one issue with lights – every now and then the auto high beam stops working, just stops switching.
