Post a picture of the broken tabbed filter housing. Take it to the dealer or mechanic. Remember to request that all service be finished with a torque wrench. Other than that, need to avoid shops that overtightened. Locate replacement filter cap on Amazon, and eBay, and local part store.
Why is oil coming out of my oil filter?
Oil started coming out of the housing, so I initially thought everything was OK. After further inspection, one of the tabs broke off of the plastic-ass oil filter housing, exposing the inside of the housing to the world. 1.) The dealership put the housing on way too tight.

You risk damaging the housing. Secondly….and very importantly….the housing is sealed via an o-ring not a gasket.
