What is an integrated control unit?
Integrated Control Unit for Hybrid Stepped Automatic Transmission. The fully integrated unit contains all the electronic components and is mounted within the transmission. The various sensors integrated in the TCU record position, temperature, speed and pressure.
What is the integrated control unit?
The Control Unit detects and processes all relevant information for controlling of the automatic transmission and drives all required actuators. The fully integrated unit contains all the electronic components and is mounted within the transmission.
How does the Multiplex Control Unit ( MCU ) work?
The job of that micro switch is to sense when a key is inserted into the ignition, which in-turn allows the multiplex control unit (MCU) to control the various convenience systems differently according to the presence or lack of a key in the ignition cylinder. Just one example: if a key is in the ignition, the MCU disables the keyless entry system.
What causes Multiplex Control Unit to malfunction?
Im not sure about the AC unit, although like you said, it DOES go through there so its quite possible considering you have other electrical problems. Secondly, what caused the MCU to malfunction. With me, i was carelessly blowing fuse after fuse….sooner or later the MCU just decided to stop doing its job.
How to check Multiplex Control Unit DTC 2 and 5?
DTC 2 and 5 simultaneously: Check for an open in the YEL wire between multiplex control unit terminal E10 and ECM/PCM terminal E24, If the wire is OK, substitute a known-good multiplex control unit, gauge assembly, and ECM/PCM one at a time, in that order, and recheck for the DTCs after each substitution.
Is the Multiplex Control Unit on a Honda Element?
My research gives me a hunch that the Multiplex Control Unit (MCU) is involved somehow with so many of my electrical related issues (see symptoms A through H below). I have a hard copy of the Honda Element ’03-’04 Electrical Troubleshooting manual.

Is the multiplex unit the same as the fuse box?
You had mentioned that the multiplex unit is the same as the fuse box, is that the interior/Dash fuse box you are talking about because honda civics have two (one under the hood and the other in the dash)? And does it matter whether I get a multiplexer from ’02 or ’03? Thanks in advance. I am just very frustrated.
