Utilikilts, in Pioneer Square, offers eight models, which include styles made of cotton, leather, duck cloth and lightweight nylon.
Who invented the utility kilt?
The Utilikilts Company is an American kilt company that was founded by Steven Villegas in April 2000. Villegas created his first kilt in the late ’90s as an alternative to pants meant to offer freedom of movement while working on his motorcycle.
What are utility kilts?
Utility kilts, or work kilts, are made from heavy weight cotton and designed to be hard wearing and durable. These kilts can be worn in semi-formal scenarios, but are also ideal for hiking or other outside activities, such as Oktoberfest, festivals and concerts.
