How long is UST certification good for?

What is a line tightness test?
The line tightness test must be able to detect a leak at least as small as 0.1 gallon per hour (gph). The line is taken out of service and pressurized to 1.5 times its normal operating pressure. A drop in pressure over time, usually an hour or more, indicates a suspected release.
