Yes, there is an online database of certifications. However, it can only be accessed by PADI Members (Pros) or PADI (IRRA member) dive centers/resorts. The respective user will need your full name and date-of-birth to retrieve your records.
How much is a PADI PIC card?
The eCard is available for purchase through PADI’s website for $37US, or through a PADI Dive Center or Instructor (member cost = one online PIC credit). The eCard is available as a replacement card only for now.

Your PADI certification never expires; but if you haven’t been diving in a while, it’s better to be over-prepared than risk a problem because you forget something important. Dive shops also appreciate seeing a recent ReActivated date on your certification card.
Does PADI eLearning expire?
PADI eLearning programs are valid for 12 months from the time you first log on. If you let your PADI eLearning program expire, please contact your affiliated PADI Dive Center or Resort to discuss options for completing your training.
