What is a stabilus lift O Mat?

On the body of the Stabilus gas strut you will find the part number (product code) in the area marked in BLUE on the image below. The Lift o mat part number will usually consist of 6 numbers, letters or a combination of both depending on the use, followed by the Newton Force.
How do I know what size gas struts I need?
In general the length to choose for gas struts is about 55% of the height of the door you are trying to keep open. So if you have a door that is 1000mm in height a 550mm long gas strut would be about right. In simple terms we are talking half the door height plus a bit when determining optimal gas strut length.

How are gas struts measured?
Co-Mac’s gas strut length is measured from the centre of the ball joint at each end. If you want to replace an existing gas strut, measure the length of your strut from the centre of each ball joint. If your gas strut does not have ball joints, measure the length of the gas strut with no end attachments.
How do I identify a lift kit?
To know what size lift kit you have, you need to see if you can find the brand name and serial number. If you can’t, look up the vehicle’s stock shock length and compare it to your current shocks. Remove the shocks for a more accurate measurement, or at least remove all cargo from the truck.
How do you tell what lift I have?
