Why is Sabino Canyon closed?
Sabino Canyon has been closed since the massive Bighorn Fire swept across the Catalina Mountains. Wildfires such as the Bighorn Fire north of Tucson leave the ground charred and unable to absorb water, which can increase flood risks.
Is there water at Seven Falls Tucson?
The first six water crossings are clustered together in a 0.6 mile stretch. I would highly recommend checking water levels before your adventure. During monsoon season, the trail can be inaccessible and flash floods are a real thing in the desert. So just double check.

Great hike, but poorly marked. Not much water at the falls but still an awesome place to hike! I really liked Seven Falls because it’s a great workout, not difficult but tolerable.
