Are Mora knives puukko?
The mora knife’s handle is typically plastic, and the blade is either stainless steel or of laminated construction; harder steel which forms the edge is clad in softer steel. In Finnish, these knives also are usually referred to as puukko.
How is a Mora knife made?
When a knife is constructed, we select the steel that best matches what the knife will be used for; carbon steel, stainless steel or laminated steel. Two knife blades a second are made in the pressing hall. That adds up to a huge 7,000 blades an hour! The power in the press is 120 tons.
Do Mora knives have a full tang?

Can you replace knife handle?
There is no need to throw out a quality knife blade because of a broken or cracked handle. Replace the handle and the knife is as good as new again. Knife blades made from quality steel can last for centuries. Remove any of the remaining wood from the knife’s old handle.
Are switchblades illegal in Finland?

The Wa-Handle is a traditional Japanese handle. They tend to have a lighter overall feel and blade forward balance. They come in all types of wood with different collars. Generally, these knives have a tang that is around 3/4 the length of the handle and is glued in place.
