What happens if you say no to Pascal?
In New Horizons, Pascal will appear once per day after your player finds a scallop underwater. However, if you refuse to give him your scallops, he will continue reappearing until you relent.

Currently, the only way to get Mermaid DIY recipes is to get them in a trade with Pascal, the new visiting character in Update 1.3. 0. He’ll appear when you find a Scallop while diving–trading with him has a chance of grabbing one of these recipes.
Will Pascal take multiple scallops?
