CVT’s will have a problem if mechanics DONT use genuine Honda CVT fluid, and if not changed regularly. Some reported rear wheel bearing issues on GD model Jazzes. + Great resale values for looked after examples.
Bought a s/hand 1988 auto wagon (part time 4wd) in 1998. It only had 76000k and drove beautifully. At just past 12 months the Auto blew ($1500). 6 months later it quit again (fixed under mechanics warranty). Another 3 months it had major engine probs (head gasket) and engine had to come out.

Look on the Jazz forum there for any recommended workshops. The shudder when taking off is likely the CVT start clutch, was very common on these. Thanks for the reply guys, CVT is fine from Honda service. Ultratune just does the servicing but not the troubleshooting.. (at least they were honest saying ‘i dont know..’ )
