How do you use VELETRI?
VELETRI must be infused continuously via a central venous catheter using an ambulatory infusion pump. If there is a disruption of delivery of VELETRI, call 9-1-1 immediately. If the catheter to the pump suddenly disconnects, immediately reconnect and call your healthcare professional.
What happens if you stop VELETRI?
It should not be stopped suddenly. Symptoms of suddenly stopping VELETRI include dizziness, weakness and difficulty breathing. As VELETRI has vasodilatory action, overdose may lead to low blood pressure, loss of consciousness, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, facial flushing, headache and fast heart beat.
How do you mix VELETRI?
VELETRI must not be reconstituted or mixed with any other intravenous medications or solutions prior to or during administration. The same solution must be used for both reconstituting and diluting VELETRI. Do not combine sterile water with normal saline when preparing VELETRI.
Is VELETRI light sensitive?
Direct exposure to sunlight may lead to warming of the VELETRI for injection solution and consequently, a negative impact on product potency. For this reason, VELETRI for injection solutions should be shielded from direct sunlight.
