When to drain transmission fluid for oil change?

A quart would have me thinking about draining the oil, and replacing it. If the engine hasn’t been started, the filter hasn’t gotten any in it. If it is close to oil change time, I’d start it, and let it idle 15 or 20 minutes, then change oil and filter. The transmission fluid will help clean the inside of the engine.
