Why does my Honda CRV make wind noise?
Toyota does it, Subaru, Ford… and they often get just a good gas mileage as Honda. The problem is not tires or wind noise. This is an across-the-board design issue with Honda products that taints an otherwise fine vehicle.
Why does my 2020 CRV make road noise?
I have a 2020 CR-V EX-L that I bought in May. It has the Hankook Kinergy GT tires on it. I notice an excessive amount of road noise on most roads. I am not sure if its these tires or lack of sound deadening material on the vehicle. Any one else have a similar experience? (I plan on installing sound-deadening material at some point)

However, Honda’s are plagued with road noise. My wifes 2007 Pilot is horrid. Noise is fed through the tires and suspension, through the chassis to the interior. It’s not wind noise. It’s not tires. Listening to the radio is useless.

What kind of sound deadening should I use on my Honda HRV?
Dynamat tends to be the most commonly used sound deadening material. It will add weight to your car, which will possibly reduce MPGs. The noise is likely wind noise – I don’t find too much noise from the road or tires, but I can definitely hear a lot of noise from the windshield.
