Tips to win Pandemic
- You must find a cure for at least one disease within the first 3 rounds.
- Once you get to two rounds left in the game, you must stop and plan out your remaining turns.
- Don’t play special cards too early.
- Hit the hotspots early.
- Clean Up after an outbreak.

Our strategy in general is: Focus on keeping disease down in the most infected color, try to not have any “3” infected cities. Pay attention to what cities have recently been infected. Trade and cure whatever color we have the most of and makes sense. Some help, advice, or encouragement would be much appreciated!

- Medic — the most powerful role, by far.
- Quarantine Specialist — can’t cure like the medic, but makes up for it in prevention.
- Scientist — Cures win the game, and the Scientist can cure things fast.
- Operations Expert — You can’t cure without research stations, and they facilitate travel.
Can you eradicate before curing in Pandemic?
Note: unlike the board game Pandemic, there is no eradication in Pandemic: The Cure. When you cure a disease and remove all the Infection dice of that color, there is no special effect. Important: once your team finds cures for all four diseases, your team has won!
Can you play Pandemic solo?
PANDEMIC. In the Pandemic solo mode—similarly to the solo rules for Fall of Rome—you’ll use three roles, taking each of their turns in order as normal. All three roles will play from your single hand of seven cards, but you can put cards into the “Archive” to effectively surpass the normal hand limit.

The dispatcher can only cause the medic to do “basic” – ie move – actions. The medic cannot do a “special action” – ie treat disease. It may be “free”, but it would still be a “special action” and would have to be done on the medic’s turn.
