What is pre-Tupping?
Aim to boost flock performance by optimizing lambing percentage and subsequent rearing percentage, whilst improving feed efficiency. Ensure ewes are in good body condition (3.0 -3.5) at tupping. Flush ewes by providing a rising plane of nutrition from 2 weeks pre-tupping until 3 weeks post-tupping.
How long does sheep drench take to work?
New arrivals should be given a “quarantine drench” and kept from pasture for 6 to 8 hours until it has had a chance to act. This reduces the possibility of them contaminating your pasture (see below) and other sheep.

What to do after drenching?
After drenching, graze the animals initially on the already contaminated paddocks. As the eggs left after drenching will be diluted by the larvae already in the paddock.
How long do you leave rams in with ewes?
Rams should be joined with ewes for two 17 day cycles (5 weeks). Extending the joining periods is not recommended on more intensively run farms, as this holds up the completion of important management events such as marking and weaning.
