See title: runs fine for about 10 minutes then starts cutting out, backfires, and dies. Let it sit a few minutes and it starts again…repeat. I think I’m narrowing it down to fuel delivery and/or exhaust leak.

Thanks guys! I have a 2001 Honda Foreman ES that started doing the same thing today (no oil in air chamber). Idles fine, sputters and dies if you give it gas. Gas is flowing fine to carb. What did you do to fix?

Put it all back together and problem is EXACTLY the same. Idles perfectly, but when you hit the throttle it backfires through the carb into air box and chokes to death. I dont know what else to do. Please help! Thanks
What to do if your Honda Foreman won’t shift?
Put a socket on it and see if the bike will shift manually. If not then it’s either the section with the 2 sensors on it or the mechanism inteernally itself. You can’t post conmments that contain an email address. I have a 2003 Foreman ES and the engine and transmission share the same oil on mine.
