Is LOCTITE 609 permanent?
None of these retaining compounds are permanent but like I said, the bond can be strong enough that there is the potential for knocking out just the inner race (along with the ball bearings) upon removal, leaving the outer race still in the shell.
What is 609 LOCTITE used for?
LOCTITE® 609 is designed for the bonding of cylindrical fitting parts. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include rotor to shafts in fractional and subfractional horsepower motors.

Is T47 better than BB90?
Is T47 genuinely better? BB90 is a system that looks elegant on paper, but one that relies on very tight tolerances and liable to problems if the bearing seats suffer from wear. T47 should, at least in principle, be easier to live with.
How long should a BB90 last?
Simple rule is (unless you’re starting a long trip) “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. Do normal maintenance, keep things properly lubed and your BB should last for another 4,000 miles or more.
