In 1987, Amalgated Holdings Limited (now EVENT) purchased the head lease of Thredbo and began to invest significant capital into the resort, creating a bigger and better ski resort experience for all skiers, snowboarders, beginners and families in Australia and abroad.

Thredbo will operate under COVID-19 restrictions for 2021. The ski resort will release 2021 winter products with staggered on-sale times based on intended travel dates. The official season kicks off on June 12, subject to snow conditions. Thredbo Day passes will cost $169 for adults and $89 for kids in winter 2021.

Is Thredbo closed?
The Thredbo-Perisher area is open all year, but some roads and trails may close due to weather conditions or park management issues. Kosciuszko Road is closed between Perisher and Charlotte Pass in winter (June to October long weekends).
