- Prepare the unit – Start by removing the front panel and evaporator cover from the machine.
- Push the “Clean” button – When you push and release the “Clean” button, the yellow light will blink and display a “C.” This will harvest remaining ice, drain the reservoir and start refilling.

Typically twice per year for scale removal and sanitizing. At some sites the water supply to the ice machine will contain significant quantities of minerals, and that will result in a water system becoming coated with these minerals, requiring more frequent maintenance than twice per year.

A full descaling should be performed every six months. Descaling also involves removing key ice machine parts and rinsing them and the inside of the machine with ice machine descaler. Sanitizing the ice machine is done to remove any biological contamination that may have occurred.
