What happened to Technics audio brand?
Technics (テクニクス, Tekunikusu) is a Japanese brand name of the Panasonic Corporation for audio equipment. Panasonic discontinued the brand for most products in October 2010, but it was revived in 2015 with new high-end turntables. The brand is best known for the SL-1200 DJ turntable, an industry standard for decades.

Is Pioneer PLX-1000 good?
Motor performance is excellent, as expected, with higher torque than a 1200, but nothing that will take your fingertips off when dragging along the platter edge. The startup time is very quick, and there’s no adjustable start/stop time, but the deck is preset to perform much like a 1200 in that area.
