Dogs are welcome for day use and in basic, hookup and group campsites!
How do you get a reservation at Jalama beach?
Campsites reservations are available online by clicking on the “Make a Reservation!” button on the left. Reservations may be made up to 6 months, to the day, of the check-in date. Keep in mind that summer is our busiest time, and that campsites fill fast. Check-out is 1:00 pm.
Are dogs allowed at Cachuma Lake?
Dogs are required to be on a leash of 6 ft. or less anywhere else in the Park. We ask all dog handlers to bring current copy of proof of rabies vaccination. Don’t forget dogs are allowed in boats, as long as they have no contact with the water at any time.

Many protected California native plants like sand verbena, saltbush, and sea rocket, grow within park boundaries. Day use is $10 per vehicle. Dogs can enjoy the beach for $3 per dog per day. Jalama is open year round.

The campground is kept very clean, bathrooms and showers (don’t forget your quarters) are in tip top shape, the campground store has everything you can imagine. We were told that the burgers were a must try and we found them to be average. The chicken sandwich, fries and onion rings out of this world!
