I doubt that any honest and transparent investigation has been done to link the oil consumption issue to auto accidents with the affected vehicles.

On 11/27-18 we brought our Honda CR-V to the dealer to have them check a vague engine noise. A mechanic took a test drive with us to listen to the noise and then returned to the dealership to check out the possible cause. He reported to us that the engine was very low on oil.
