I expect an aftermarket downpipe to provide 25 horsepower if not tuned and 50 horsepower if tuned. This number can be slightly more if you go with the catless downpipe.
Can you run a Catless downpipe without a tune Focus ST?
If the downpipe is catless then yes you need a tune or at least a MIL eliminator/defouler. If the downpipe is catted you do not, but there will be no power gain without a tune.

High flow cats don’t need a tune, and the maps will adapt fine, but you won’t get the most out of them without a tune – you’ll get something, just not everything. The main thing you will get though is a more aggressive exhaust note. Do NOT delete both cats without a tune though.

But I don’t recommend going catless at all. Catless downpipe has horrible emission and gives out a bad smell when your car idles. You can definitely smell it when you get out of the car to grab something from the trunk. In more severe cases, you can even smell it from inside the car.
