Why does my Yukon make a ticking noise?
The ticking noise on our Yukon is not just momentary. It goes for quite a long time but will eventually stop. It seems to happen after the vehicle has not been drove in awhile. I found this previous post and also replied to it. Sounds like the same thing.
Why does my GM Truck make a ticking noise?
I’ve got something similar except my noise sounds like a piece of plastic or something blowing around inside the dash under low speeds whenever there is vacuum from the throttle being pushed. Could this be a busted piece from an actuator?

It is really loud under the drivers side wheel. It doesn’t stop either when the car gets going. I hear it if I’m stopped and the windows down. I took to Chevy dealer and the lead mechanic told me that’s normal because of the new motor and pistons they use.

Is the ticking noise coming from the engine normal?
Also i noticed slight engine vibration wnen car standing and very big vibration when driving on the highway between 70-80 mpr. AMWWORKS likes this. There are lots of threads about this, search around a bit. In most cases the noise is normal with the new setup, but some have had it worse (and it’s been other things) and it’s been addressed.

It may be a coincidence, but the clicking and tapping only occurs when the instrument panel is getting power. When the key is in the “on” position, and the instrument panel is NOT powered up, there isn’t any noise. Just started a couple of weeks ago, and it doesn’t appear that it is going to go away on its own.
