Shard Lights, which ran from 26th November to 1st January, is made up of 575 LED lights and fixtures across the top 20-storeys of The Shard (800ft to 1,016ft). The highest light show in Western Europe, it can be seen across the capital. The Shard works with lighting designers, Woodroffe Bassett Design.

This October, Shangri-La The Shard, London will turn pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, with vibrant pink décor and pink-inspired artworks, and a special Pink Afternoon Tea featuring pastries designed by breast cancer patients from Guy’s Cancer.
Why is the top of the Shard pink?
The hotel’s special Pink Afternoon Tea was inspired by the journeys of four incredible women, Gina, Maggie, Mandy and Michele, who received breast cancer treatment at Guy’s Cancer. The group also named the pastries, which are featured on the tea’s top tier. Guests may also opt for the afternoon tea only priced at £59.
When does the shard light show end in London?
Shard Lights runs through the night, repeating every hour on the hour till 2am. The final show will take place on New Year’s Eve, ending at 4am on New Year’s Day. The challenging 20 storey installation designed by Woodroffe Bassett uses 344 luminaires, including state of the art LED light beams to create Western Europe’s highest light show.
