Why is my car cranking so slow when I start it?
Battery was replaced about three weeks ago after noticing slow cranking start-ups. Prior to that, the most recent repair was to replace a faulty coil assembly and ignition wires about nine months ago. The faulty coil assembly caused the car to sputter and lose power.

What to look for when your engine won’t start?
Check for a blown fuse that may be preventing a circuit from working properly, like the fuel injection or computer system. To operate efficiently, an internal combustion gasoline engine needs a good spark, the right amount of fuel, and good compression (a healthy mechanical condition).
What does it mean when your car cranks longer than normal?
The kit comes with 2 copper contacts and a plunger. It takes around 20 minute of work to replace. After the car is sitting for ~3 or more hours, it takes longer from cranking to starting. Does this mean the starter motor is running whenever you want it to, but sometimes it cranks for a longer time than usual before the engine starts?
What does no crank no start car mean?
Mechanics refer to this as a no crank no start condition. Of course, the number one reason for an engine not the crank on any car would be a problem with the battery. Since classic car owners are familiar with how to treat a battery during long-term storage we’ll just touch on this briefly and then move on.

Where does the 12 V go in a no crank car?
With the ignition key in the on position, there should be power on the heavy gauge red wire and a strong ground on the black wire. When the ignition key is pushed to the crank position you should have an additional 12 V going into the relay and 12 V comes out on the wire that runs to the starter solenoid.
