Why is the green light on my speedometer not working?
If signal is coming from VSS, a SN74 is required and could be the cause of the speedometer not working. If a SN74 is being used, is the green light next to the dip on? If it is not on, then the SN74 is not getting power and won’t send a signal to speedometer.
Are there warning lights on a speedhut tachometer?
More of a classic looks no internal warning lights or shift lights. Military Grade Pressure Transducers used for all Legacy pressure gauges. External Programming Button and External Warning light can be used with many of the gauges (including Tachometers) available in the Legacy Gauge Line. This is Speedhut’s introductory line.
Can You calibrate a tachometer without the engine running?
(It is possible to calibrate the tachometer without engine running) The pushbutton must be pressed until the engine is started (if not a few seconds after). Once the engine is started, the pushbutton can be released. If, during a measured mile speed calibration, the speedometer pointer is pointing at 30mph, no signal is getting to the speedometer.
What causes a speedometer to have a pointer fluctuation?
Speedometers with a pointer fluctuation under 10mph are usually caused by the transmission using a speedometer gear. (i.e. turbo350 and 700R4). This can be fixed by a new plastic speedometer driven gear or by building up the size of the pulse signal generator shaft by adding a piece of 1/8” diameter shrink tube to it.
Is the Tacho, Speedo, and temp gauge working?
Still no tacho, temp gauge or back lighting though. 1) joining pink wire to black wire gives no result/no dash lights. On a side note, joining black to blue/black makes sparks ha ha! 2) alternator warning light (I assume this is the one that looks like a battery) and the oil pressure warning light are functioning.

Is the temp gauge on my Car working?
As stated in the thread title, my dash backlighting, speedo, tacho, and temp gauge are not working. However all of the warning lights and high beam indicator light work. The problem has me stumped, I have searched and searched here but haven’t found an answer yet.
