What is the difference between C6 and C7 Christmas lights?
C6 lights are the smallest of the strawberry-shaped lights that many consider the “traditional Christmas bulb” shape. The bulbs are generally 3/4 inch in diameter and 1 1/8 inches tall. C7 lights have the same strawberry shape as C6, but are slightly larger. They measure 1 inch in diameter and 1 1/2 inches tall.
What is a C7 light bulb?
C7 bulbs are smaller than C9s. They have an E12 candelabra base, the same size as a night light bulb. They are around 1 1/2 inches long and are generally 5 watts for incandescent bulbs. There are also newer, brighter C7 options on the market that use 7 watt incandescent bulbs.
What are C7 LED lights?
LED varieties C7 LED light bulbs use 90% less electricity, but are the same size, and can fit into the same size base as incandescent lights. They generally have 3 LEDs per base and come in smooth, faceted, and dimmable finishes.
Are E12 and C7 the same?
The industry uses many terms for the same size: C7 / E12 / Candelabra Base Bulbs typically used for chandelier-type fixtures and decorative lighting. Medium / E26 Bulbs (E27 in Europe) the same size as a standard household bulb.
How many C7 LED lights can be strung together?
Our maximum suggested number of traditional incandescent C7 and C9 bulbs is 200 bulbs for each style – especially if your bulbs are spaced 12 inches apart.
