Yes, you can use a MAF cleaner on a throttle body, but you cannot use throttle body cleaner on a MAF. It’s just, on the MAF sensor, it evaporates faster. It’s a better cleaner and it cost a lot more, too. So you really don’t need to waste money from a MAF sensor cleaner on a throttle body.
Can I wipe a MAF sensor?
We recommend that you clean the MAF sensor every time you change your air filter. Spray 10 to 15 spurts of the mass air flower cleaner onto the wire or plate. Don’t scrub the parts; you may break the wire or damage the plate. Allow the MAF sensor to dry completely before reinstalling it in the air duct.
