Who is Elegba?
Eshu, also spelled Eschu, also called Elegba, trickster god of the Yoruba of Nigeria, an essentially protective, benevolent spirit who serves Ifa, the chief god, as a messenger between heaven and earth.
Who is Oshun goddess?
Oshun is commonly called the river orisha, or goddess, in the Yoruba religion and is typically associated with water, purity, fertility, love, and sensuality. She is considered one of the most powerful of all orishas, and, like other gods, she possesses human attributes such as vanity, jealousy, and spite.
Is elegua a saint?
Elegua is known in Cuba and Puerto Rico as the “owner” of crossroad, gates and pathways (caminos), especially between the earth and the divine realms. All ceremonies and rituals must first have his approval before taking place. He is a very powerful saint, one of the warriors, but still keeping his “child-like” nature.

Who is Elegua and what does he represent?
Eleguá (Elegguá) is sometimes represented as a child, and sometimes as an old man. He represents the beginning and end of life, and the opening and closing of paths in life.

All prayers are allowed to reach the other Orishas by Elegua. It is up to him whether the prayers or any religious practices reach the rest of the Orishas at all.
What kind of clothes does the Elegua wear?
Elegua is commonly dressed in a red hat with trousers and a frock coat. Much like the beads that adorn his neck, the colors of these clothes are red and black.
What kind of dwelling does Elegua live in?
Elegua dwells in a large variety of objects, ranging all the way from a stone with load to a dry coconut. A few of his other dwellings include a stone, stone of reef, stone of shell and a snail cobo with load.
