What days are museums free in Ottawa?

Admission to our permanent galleries is free: Thursdays: 4 pm – 7 pm; tickets are released on Monday at 8 am for this period for the week, and a limited number of additional tickets are released on Thursday at 8 am for this period on the same day (brought to you by Canada Life)

Can you take pictures in the National Gallery?

Photography is allowed for personal, non-commercial purposes in the National Gallery. It is the visitor’s responsibility to ensure no copyright is infringed. There are a few exceptions to protect paintings, copyright of loans, individual privacy and the overall visitor experience.

Do you need reservations for the National Gallery?

We’ll be right back! The National Gallery no longer requires timed entry passes. We are open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Plan your visit.

Can you bring water into the National Gallery of Art?

Outside food and drink may not be brought into the National Gallery with the exception of water bottles. Glass containers are not permitted. Join us for free daily guided tours at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. These one-hour tours meet in the Rotunda of the National Gallery’s West Building.
