Why does my Honda CRV have a whistle?
He/we concluded that this was not a fault with the turbo /engine but was particular to all 2.2 CRV,s.hilst I washappy and reasured by this I must admit that if id paid £30k for a new one I would nt want to listeneing to the whistle for the first 15mins of every journey. Any suggestions or do I/all of us have to tolerate this??

Sometimes you can hear the noise more so if there is a loose fitting hose / pipe connected to the turbo -so you could just check around the engine bay – make sure all is tight etc…

Its not usually anything at all to worry about – in fact you often hear it on vehilces on the road when you know what to listen for .. Its a sign the turbo is working ! 😉 But make sure its kept up to date with the oil changes… Turbos like good regular oil changes to look after them – every 6000 miles is good – with a top quality oil being used..
