Do you have to be registered with VNC server?
The user account of each prospective VNC Viewer user must be registered with VNC Server. Certain admin groups are pre-registered, to enable connectivity out-of-the-box. This may mean no set up is required, especially under Windows and Mac.
Do you need administrator privileges for VNC Connect?
Administrative privileges are required. You may need to restart the computer. *To completely remove (benign) configuration and other files or settings that may remain, follow these instructions. These instructions explain how to install VNC Connect (version 6+) on supported Mac computers.
Can you upgrade to VNC 5.x for free?
If you have a Free license key for VNC 5.x, you can migrate to a new, free Home subscription providing you install VNC Server desk-side. You cannot migrate over a remote control session. If you wish to upgrade from VNC Enterprise Edition or VNC Personal Edition 4.x, we recommend you first contact Support.
How big of a password do I need for VNC?
The password must be between six and eight characters long. Passwords more than 8 characters will be truncated automatically. Once you verify the password, you’ll have the option to create a view-only password. Users who log in with the view-only password will not be able to control the VNC instance with their mouse or keyboard.

How to set up static lease on tg799vac?
Add a “static lease” on the TG799 under Advanced -> Local Network -> Static Leases with your internal router’s WAN MAC address and a suitable ip such as 10.0.100.2. Connect your inner router’s WAN port to one of the TG799’s LAN ports. Confirm on the inner router that it got 10.0.100.2 as the WAN IP.
