Is Neat still in business?
From this point forward, the company has transitioned its focus on our cloud software for small businesses with a focus on bookkeeping, expense and spend management and document organization. Neat Scanners are no longer available, and as of July 2018, all Neat brand scanners are now outside of their warranty period.
Why is my Neat scanner not working?
You probably need to reinstall or update the scan driver for your specific scanner model to get it working in Neat. You may also need to move your scanner USB cable to another port directly on your computer or try a different USB cable altogether.
Can you use Neat without a subscription?
Retired versions of Neat do not require a subscription fee for use. Please keep in mind that the retired desktop software is not supported and the installation link for these versions are no longer available. We cannot guarantee the integrity of your data if you choose to continue to use a retired version of Neat.
How do you update Neat?
Start by pressing the gear icon in the bottom left of the NeatConnect touchscreen in order to access Settings. Swipe the touchscreen upwards until you reach Software Update at the bottom of the Settings list. Press “Software Update” on the touchscreen. The NeatConnect will automatically search for available updates.

How do I reset my neat scanner?
Click the Settings gear in the left corner of the home screen on the touchscreen. Scroll until you see a section titled System. Under this heading, tap Factory Reset. A message box will appear, prompting you to confirm that you want to reset your scanner to the original factory settings.
Why does my computer say scan not connected?
One simple reason your computer may not detect the scanner is a loose connection. Check the USB and AC adapter cords and all connections to make sure they’re tight and secure. Examine the cables themselves for signs of damage that may prevent them from working properly.
How do I use a Neat scanner for free?
Click on the Spotlight icon (the magnifying glass at the top right of your screen) type Image Capture and hit Enter to launch. Once Image Capture launches, select the Neat scanner from Devices on the left side of the window. You can click Show Details to view and change scanner options.

What is the chart of accounts in neat?
A new feature to support Neat’s bookkeeping experience is the Chart of Accounts which provides a complete listing of all accounts available in Neat to record transactions. The Chart of Accounts includes balance sheet accounts (assets, liabilities, stockholders’ equity) and income statement accounts (revenues, expenses, gains, losses).
Is the neat pad compatible with WiFi?
