Is the 50c-60c idle temp good or bad?

Is the 50c-60c idle temp good or bad?

To answer OP, 50/60 degrees is pretty hot for idle on that processor. It won’t kill it, but its lifespan will certainly be a lot shorter than if it was at 30/40. Lifespan is not really effected by high temperature. It’s a parroted misknowledge to which is no proof exist.

What does the low temperature indicator on the dash mean?

While you’re probably familiar with the High Temperature light on the dash, you may not know what the Low Temperature indicator means when it comes on. This light simply tells you that the coolant temperature is low, or cooler than normal. Here’s how it works:

What should the idle temp of my CPU be?

Your idle temps are high. Your cpu should idle just above (+ 5-15 C) room temp with good airflow. My i7-3770k not overclocked in a high airflow case, with the stock cooler from intel runs at under 70c at 100% cpu usage.

What should idle temp be on Aorus Master?

There’s several threads similar to this one already. It might be beneficial to make a consolidated thread for informational purposes. That being said – I have an Aorus Master. Idle temps range from 38-43c. Under load it usually settles around 50-53c. Maximum I’ve seen it report is 59.

Why does my Honda engine have a rough idle?

During start up, your engine is almost dry of oil. If you use thicker oil it will take longer for the oil to reach the top end of the engine. Because of this, the cam and valve train do not get oil for some time during start up. When this happens, the parts wear faster and eventually cause things like rough idles.

What does it mean when your engine idle is too low?

If your idle is too low, it could be the IAC not talking to the computer correctly. Disconnect the IAC connector for a couple seconds while your engine is idling. If your engine idle didn’t change, you can suspect it to be the IAC. If it is working properly, unplugging it would cause your idle to freak out.

What should the target idle speed be for a hot engine?

If the hot engine idles in between two temperature cells on the Target Idle Speed scale, set the temperature cell before & after the target idle, to the same RPM; so the ECU doesn’t vary the idle speed. Most high performance engines will idle well with a target air/fuel ratio between 13.5:1 & 14.2:1.
