Are tips open during lockdown NSW?
Councils can help their community to stay at home by closing their community recycling centre during this lockdown. Most community recycling centres outside the Greater Sydney Region (with the exception of Orange, Blayney and Cabonne local government areas) remain open.
What is tip pass?
These passes entitle the Rate Payer to dispose of waste at Red Hill Waste Management Facility to a maximum of half a tonne (1.8m x 1.2m trailer or utility) per tip pass. Tip Passes are no longer available from Council Administration Centre or Library. The tip passes are not for resale.

Contact your local sanitation or transfer station to find out where you can take large amounts of fibreglass insulation. Double bag the insulation in tough garbage bags. Tie each bag securely shut. Take the bags to the designated disposal location.

When is Hume City Council resource recovery centre closed?
Hume City Council manages two resource recovery centres located in Sunbury and Campbellfield. In line with Victorian Government restrictions, our resource recovery centres will be closed to residential customers from 8pm on Thursday 5 August 2021. Our centres are open to commercial customers with waste generated from their permitted work.
