How long is the flight from Pinetrees to Lord Howe?
You’ll need to fly with Qantas to Lord Howe Island from Sydney every day, and from Brisbane on weekends. Flights are less than two hours, and Pinetrees is five minutes from the airport. Remember that eight hour trip to Bali?
How big is Lord Howe Island New Zealand?
Lord Howe Island is roughly 10km long and 2km wide. It’s a small exposed part of the Lord Howe Rise, an underwater plateau that extends from New Caledonia to New Zealand. The volcanic ‘hotspot’ that formed the island last flowed over 6 million years ago.

Meeting the wood hens on Lord Howe Island was the highlight of our stay. Without mobile phones and internet you can completely cut off from the world and relax.
