How many dining halls does NC State have?
We have more than 40 dining locations across campus, all of which accept some form of your meal plan.
What is meal credit?
Meal credits enable you to purchase a meal totaling a specific amount at one of our restaurants or cafés. Meal credits vary by location and meal period. If you stay under the rate being charged for that meal, you won’t owe anything more.

Is a meal plan required at NC State?
Get ready to eat well with our award-winning dining program. All first-year students living on campus are required to have a meal plan and were automatically enrolled in the Flex Plan on June 1, 2021. Students had the option to upgrade or downgrade to the Flex Plus or Dining Hall plan beginning July 10, 2021.
Do dining dollars reset every semester?
Your unused Dining Dollar balance will reset at the end of the semester.

Yes, on-campus meal plans with flex dollars will roll over from the fall semester to the spring semester. Flex dollars do not roll over into the summer session, or from academic year to academic year. Flex dollars do not roll over into the summer session, or from academic year to academic year.
Can I use dining dollars at Starbucks?
Dining Dollars can used for coffee and food items at Starbucks. Saints Dollars, cash and credit cards are accepted for coffee, food, and merchandise.
