What is devolo dLAN?
With the dLAN® 1200+ Add-On adapter you can expand your existing home network. Connect network-compatible devices at speeds up to 1200 Mbps, above a standard gigabit powerline. Because devolo offers you quick and secure home networking with dLAN® (direct Local Area Network).
Why won’t my devolo connect?
It can happen that your Devolo powerline adapters stop working the way they’re supposed to. For instance, you might lose your Internet connection, or the transfer speed becomes very slow. In most cases, you can resolve this by resetting the powerline adapters. A reset returns the adapters to factory settings.
How does a dLAN work?
DLAN a quite new technology that simply sends the data packages via the existing power cables via a power outlet. Via a network cable, the signal then reaches the first DLAN adapter, which sends it via the power network to the second adapter. This can then initiate a WiFi network.
Why is my devolo red?
As soon as the white LED lights up steady on both devices, your dLAN network is set up and protected from unauthorised access. soon as the LED indicator light flashes red at regu- lar intervals of 0.5 sec., the adapter is ready to operate but not yet integrated into the dLAN network.
Why is my Devolo 500 flashing red?
Answer: The flashing red light on the dLan 500 is there to tell you that there is a fault somewhere on your network. This does not mean it ceases working as it is only a warning light. If your network is working satisfactorily then you should get a steady green light.
