Do you need a blow-through carb?
To get the most bang, you really need fuel injection. But don’t fret if you’re running an older, carburettor-engined car. Either system will require modification to the carb in order to ensure fuel delivery and pressure regulation. Neither a blow-through or draw-through system is a quick bolt-on road to big power.
What does a blow-through carburetor do?
The blow-through carburetor’s foremost job is matching enough fuel with the large volume of pressurized air passing through the carburetor.
Can you run a turbo on a carbureted engine?
Turbocharging is really quite simple. Turbos are a great way to increase power on fuel injected engines, but they can also be used with carbureted set-ups as well.
Is a 2 barrel or 4 barrel carb better?
With a 2 barrel carb, you get what you get. In other words; if it is a 350 cfm carb, it’s always a 350 cfm carb. This means the 600 cfm 4 barrel will actually have better throttle response, quicker off the line power and much better low-end get-up and go compared to a 350 cfm 2 barrel.

Can I put a 4 barrel carb on a 2 barrel intake?
Doing it with a four barrel into a two barrel intake it would never be able to flow enough into those two small passages to make much more power than a stock two barrel. But a cheap four barrel intake would be your best bet in my opinion.
Are 2 barrel carbs good?
a 2 barrel carb will yield you less air less air means less power and less fuel. But it depends on the carb and how you drive. 2/4 doesn’t matter as long as it is the right size (CFM) and is tuned properly for the engine. Driving characteristics will be different between 2/4 barrel, manufacturer, etc.
