Why does my engine make a knocking noise when I start up?
The knocking on acceleration is most likely a worn crankshaft bearing, and the smoke is probably worn piston rings or valve guide seals. Valve guide seals will usually cause smoke on start up and then will disappear after driving for a few minutes; worn piston rings will smoke all the time.

Why does my truck make a clicking sound when I turn it off?
The sound lasts for about 10 seconds and then stops. When I turn the truck off, it happens again for about 10 seconds. The problem didn’t occur often until I had the AC system recharged lately. What do you think the problem is? If I need to replace the blower motor, how can I remove the plasting cowling in front of it without cutting it out?

Why does my ft heater make a thumping noise?
If the mode switch doesn’t do it go to the recirc door switch if you have one. Once you’ve figured out which door is thumping go to the dealer and get a pic of the air box assembly so you know where the actuator is. Typically oem’s are about the same price as a/m’s. Have EXACTLY the same symptoms with my ’94 …..
Why does my Silverado make a thumping noise?
While it is thumping, I can feel under the blower motor something striking something. I pulled the blower motor. No luck. The thumper is somewhere in the distribution box between the passenger and driver side. Any ideas or do I just pull that monster out and try to get a peek inside there!
Why is my furnace making a loud boom noise?
If the boom or banging noise is located at the heater, a delayed gas ignition is most likely the problem. Delayed gas ignition is when gas in the furnace builds up rather than igniting immediately. When the gas finally ignites after a while, a mini-explosion happens and can harm your furnace.
Why does my forced air heater make a noise?
Forced air furnaces are highly efficient heating systems that can quickly and evenly warm-up a house, but they also double as a central air conditioner in the summer. Due to the dual jobs they perform though, the many composite parts that make up these systems can cause noises throughout the house as heat travels up through the registers.
Why does my AC Heat fan make a clicking noise?

Why does my air conditioner make a thumping noise?
Coming from your ductwork, thumping noises may simply be caused by air pressure changes within the ducts when hot air is blown into cool ductwork or cool air blows into hot ductwork. Inspect your ductwork for loose fittings, broken seals or holes in your ductwork that may be the cause of the thumping noises.

Why does my blower motor make a high pitched whistling sound?
This will help your blower motor to last a long time. If you hear a high pitched whistling sound when using your furnace, it could be that you have a leak in the air duct system. Unless your HVAC system is new, this is usually a result of deteriorating ductwork and poor connections to the main ducting trunkline.
