The module is timed meaning it runs for x amount of turns of the motor depending on where it thinks the glass is for instance 3 clockwise turns from close to vent and 20 turns from vent to open. There is no sensors just timing based on where it thinks it is.
How do you close the sunroof on a GM Truck?
There is a allen wrench provision on the motor assembly to try to close the sunroof but it is made from cheap pot metal and it rounded right out when I tried that method. I dropped the sunroof assembly down and removed the motor, closed the sunroof manually and installed the motor.
Why is my GM Yukon XL sunroof stuck open?
I disconnected my battery in my 2001 Yukon Xl and now my sunroof is stuck in the open position and will not close, it pulses for a couple seconds and stops. The GM sync procedure says the sunroof needs to be closed to sync it. Any idea on how I can get this to close?
