What kind of IC is a clap switch?
I will present two circuits for clap switches, both of these circuits will be based on 555 IC and 4017 IC. Using these circuits, you can control electrical appliances by simple clapping. Summary of the project given below:
What kind of project boxes do all electronics use?
Project Boxes All Electronics has a great selection of Hammond ABS plastic and metal enclosures for your electronics projects as well as a large variety of other boxes. We have cabinets with mounting flanges, small enclosures for portable devices, aluminum boxes for musical instrument effects, weather-proof outdoor enclosures.
Why is the clap switch in off state?
You can see the circuits and connections in the above schematic diagram of clap switch. Initially the transistor is in OFF state because there is not enough (0.7v) base-emitter voltage to turn it ON.
How big is a Hammond ABS project box?
• Black ABS plastic project enclosure • Interlocking lid secured with self-tapping screws • Interior slots for… Outside dimensions 1.99″ x 1.99″ x 1.23″. Diecast aluminum enclosure. Lid is fastened with countersunk machine screws into… Hammond Manufacturing# 1411HU. 102 x 56 x 56mm aluminum box. Four self-tapping screws included….
How are transistors used in a clap switch?
Two transistors cross connected as a bi-stable multi-vibrator change state at each signal. One of these transistors drives a heavier transistor which controls a lamp. This circuit is constructed using basic electronic components like resistors, transistors, relay, transformer, capacitors. This circuit turns ‘ON’ light for the first clap.
How is the speed of a fan controlled by Clap switch?
Visual indication of the devices is also provided to you. With the help of this circuit, speed of the fan can also be controlled by connecting regulator with individual outputs. In the first circuit, I will control a single relay using clap switch. When you clap once, the relay is activated and the light (or any load) is turned ON.
