What is a UC tap?
UC TAP. The Transfer Admissions Planner (UC TAP) helps you plan your coursework and map your progress. So you always know how close you are to meeting UC’s minimum requirements, and what’s left to do.
How do you tag a UC?

What is the tag application?
UCI’s Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program guarantees admission to highly qualified students from all California Community Colleges. To apply to TAG, submit your TAG application between September 1 and 30, and your UC undergraduate application to UCI between November 1 and 30.
Can I withdraw my tag application?
Once you have submitted your TAG you cannot make adjustments to your academic information. If you need to do so and are still within the TAG filing period, you can withdraw the TAG from the your home page, make your changes, and submit the TAG again.

Yes, the TAG is really a guarantee so long as all requirements are met. You must submit a TAG application to UCSB in September and a UC application to UCSB in November. Your TAG/admission decision will be released in mid to late April.

How do I withdraw my UC tag application?
Go to the UCI admissions website at: : https://www.admissions.uci.edu/portal/ Choose “Withdraw your UCI Application” from the Reporting Changes section of the portal and complete the form to withdraw your application.
Does UC look at freshman grades?
UCs do look at courses you take in freshman and senior years; the grades and rigor of your coursework are considered in context of your overall curriculum. But freshman and senior year grades are NOT included in the GPA calculation. UC-approved Honors, AP, IB and community college courses are weighted.

When do I need to submit my UC Tag application?
Use our Transfer Admission Planner to fill out your TAG application. If you have a community college counselor, review it with them. Don’t worry if you don’t—we have our own UC TAG advisors who can help you out. You’ll need to submit by September 30th for the fall term, or May 31st for the winter/spring term.
Where do I Find my UC tap email address?
In order for your academic history (schools attended and coursework) to be available for transfer to the UC application, your UC TAP transfer term much match the term for which you are applying. If you are unsure what email address you used in UC TAP, login to UC TAP and find your email address on the “About me” –> “Personal information” page.
What to do if you forgot your UC tap password?
