Are SF buses free?
Provides free access to Muni services for all youth, ages 18 years and under, regardless of income or residency. No application or proof of payment/Clipper card will be required to ride Muni vehicles with the exception of Cable Car. Simply get on the bus and ride.

Does Clipper card work on BART?
Riders pay for BART with a Clipper card, which also has an app and works with Apple and Andriod phones. While Clipper is used to pay for BART, it is not a BART product. Clipper is the Bay Area’s all-in-one transit card administered by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
What fuel does AC Transit use?
AC Transit operates twelve 40′ hybrid-electric fuel cell buses, each powered by a120 kW UTC fuel cell system. The buses use lithium-ion batteries and hybrid-electric technology to store regenerative braking energy and provide up to 125 kW of booster power. Fuel cells do not burn the fuel they use.

Riders paying with AC Transit’s mobile payment platform should purchase a Transbay single ride fare—valid for a free transfer from a local line to Transbay line for 2 hours. A Day Pass is available as a prepaid or pay-as-you-go fare for unlimited local rides from the time issued until 3:00 am the next day.
