Is it hard to replace bike cables?
While a quick squirt of lubricant can often freshen them up, once they start to feel gritty it’s time to swap both inner and outer parts. Although internally routed cables can prove tricky to replace, if your lines run alongside the frame, swapping them isn’t a tricky job.
What is internal routing?
This approach creates multiple routes from a source to a destination. It is no longer possible to manually manage the routing tables in all nodes that have more than one interconnect. Using the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing protocol minimizes the routing configuration of a node.
How to install internal cable on a bike?

What’s impressive about how Herse did it is that there are separate small diameter tubes inside the main frame tubes that the cables run inside. This means that if you happen to break a rear shift cable on a ride, for example, you simply feed the cable into the hole at the top of the frame.
Can you run internal cable through your head tube?

How to replace the rear gear cable on a car?
