When I pulled the cowl off, I noticed debris and grime clogging the channel allowing it to flood the inlet of the blower motor. the vehicle was obviously parked outside and under a tree. After cleaning out the entire gutter, I bent back the shield where the blower inlet, so future clogs doesn’t drain over the channel in to the inlet area.

Where is the water leak on the passenger side?
There will be a small round rubber hose coming out of the firewall on the passenger side, under the hood. They get plugged up from leaves and will drain to the inside of the car. If you take it to a shop where it can be raised, it will take about 5 minutes to unclog it.
