Why is my bonnet not closing?
The most common cause of a car hood that won’t close is hood latch corrosion. Corrosion causes the hood pull release handle to stick in the open position. Working the latch while applying a generous application of penetrating oil such as WD40 followed by a coat of white lithium grease will fix the problem.

Have to have someone push on the bonnet while someone else pulls the release catch for it to open. But today i have tried to open it, the bonnet seems to release as it pops out of the latch in the middle but it is still catching on something and will not open.

Get yourself some torx screwbits. 1 – Take out the two screws in RED, then unclip (near the middle) the grill and remove it. 2 – You now have full front on access to the three screw in the YELLOW.
